No, documents (including translations) do not have to be apostilled. Translations from an official translator are accepted, as long as they contain the following information:

  • Confirmation from the translator/translation company that it is an accurate translation of the original document
  • The date of the translation
  • The translator/an authorised official of the translation company’s full name and signature
  • The translator/translation company’s contact details

If you only have one name, please state FNU (First Name Unknown) or LNU (Last Name Unknown) in the relevant field of the application form.

No, applicants for an EMJM scholarship must have completed their undergraduate studies by the time of application.

If you will finish your undergraduate degree and will be able to hand in the official degree certificate before 31 August of the year of your intended intake, you can apply as a self-funded student.

Yes, if you have completed another master degree or if you have decided to withdraw before completing it, you can still apply for the ILSPSD and an EMJM scholarship. Explain your reasons for applying to the ILSPSD programme clearly in your letter of motivation.

Please use the formula [credit hours per week (in class + self-study)] x [weeks per semester] / 25 = ECTS).

If you have completed three years of full-time study or more, you should have earned at least 180 ECTS.

If it is not included in your transcript of records or diploma supplement, please ask your degree awarding institution for a written statement of the working hours needed for accomplishing each of your courses. They do not have to convert it into ECTS. You can use your own conversion calculations.
